New Year's Eve day stinks....

I swear everything that I do is going wrong today! Then I go down once I get a break from the stupid emails and phone calls I go down to get something to eat and our cafe closed early. Thanks for letting everyone know that. Ya so now I know by the time I get off work I'll have a headache cause I hungry! My computer here has screwed up three or four time already. This stinks!!!

Happy New Years to all......

I want to take this time to say Happy New Year to all my friends and family!!!! I hope that everyone has a very happy and safe New Year's Eve! I will be ringing in the new year with my husband, Tricia, Matt and baby Hunter!



I hope that this new year brings many great things. This year has had it's ups and downs. Let's see here is my year in review.........The year started out alright until my dad and husband started not talking. I have know idea why (not even sure that they do either). We sold our Chevelle which broke my heart. Let's see Pete got a new job, then I was transferred as well. Dale Jr decided that he was leaving DEI and then had a bad season. He announced that he was going to Hendrick Motorsports to be a teammate to Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson and Casey Mears. At first I wasn't sure what to think about that whole deal but after seeing the smile on Junior's face that had been missing for most of the season I was fine with it. As long as Junior is happy and competitive I'm happy! Let's see then we were instrumental in helping start a brand new church. We helped remodel the building that we are worshiping in now.Andi and I went on our annual trip to Michigan to see the races. Then my husbands grandma had to have brain surgery, she is doing much better now though. She has a long road ahead of her but she just has to take it one day at a time. We have had many car problems with hubby's car. It is 20 years old now. Last but not least Tricia and Matt were blessed with a healthy baby boy! Hunter is my little nephew! I'm so proud to be an aunt to a child I will be able to see (Pete's brother has a six year old but we never see her anymore due to the fact that his brother is not a part of her life). That is my year in review!



So far I know that there will be at least on highlight......Andi and I have already bought our tickets to the Michigan race again and this year Tara and Penni will be joining us! We are all excited about that.



As I have said before I hope that everyone has a safe and happy new year!!!!

Today is soooo boring!

So I'm sitting here at work and it is very boring! I can only imagine what Monday will be like. I've been reading and listening to the radio so much that even that is boring! This has been a really slow week. I guess that is what happens with retail huh!

As far as things go at home all is well. I can finally do laundry again so that is what I have been doing at night. I threw some things on ebay lst night of Pete's that he wanted me to sell for him cause they were running a special yesterday on thier fees. I also have some Avon on there that I had laying around the house. Trying to make a few dollars anyway.

Well guess I will catch you all on the flip side. I will probably be back here this weekend with what we are doing for New Years Eve (if anything). I have a feeling that we may be doing something but I will update you! For now Later!

My Christmas '07

Ok so it had it's ups and downs. On Monday we went to my in-laws. We had dinner and did our secret santa gift. We draw names with his family cause we are all poor. Then we came home and we opened presents here. Grandma came over to watch us (cause she says she never gets to see our stuff any other way, I think it is just a way to that what we get each other is useless). Here is what I got all together:

• Dale Jr. #8 Comforter
• Dale Jr. #8 Curtins (two sets for our bedroom and two sets for our kitchen (don't ask))
• Dale Jr. #8 Valence (two for the spare bedroom)
• A set of sheets that are going back (they sent him Jeff Gordon even though they were suposed to be Dale Jr.)
• Necklace and Earring set
• Bracelet
• $50
• A new dress shirt
• AAA Membership renewal
• Total of $35 gift cards for Target
• A snowman clock that plays Christmas carols on the hour
• A keychain
• Chocolate covered rasins
• A wire basket with red cloth lining and two white towels and a green towel
• A snowman doormat
• A decrative tree with stars on it

Then on Tuesday I went to Grandma's. Pete wouldn't go with me though. Ya broke my heart. He said that my dad made him feel unwelcome on Saturday so he refused to go with me. I just wish that those two would relize that they aren't hurting each other but that they are hurting me. All we did was visit, eat and played Apple to Apple. My other Aunt came over as well for dinner.

I hope that everyone had a great holiday. Now I'm trying to get my husband to do something on New Years Eve but his football game is on at 5pm so right now he says he's doing nothing. Last year I had to spend it without him I don't want to do it again. Although I don't want to stay here at the house and be bored all night either!!!

Christmas stinks!

Ya so I had our Christmas Eve with part of my family today. Ya some of you may know that my husband and Dad don't get along. Why I don't even remember anymore. Well my husband had said that for my christmas present he was going to go to my grandma's for our Christmas's. Ya Pete tried to say goodbye to my dad and I guess he just turned his back to him. Now Pete says that he's not going to my grandma's for christmas. He said that he tried and dad ignored him so he doesn't feel comfortable now. Merry Christmas to me (ya right). I asked Pete to go for me and he said no. I can't change his mind! I swear I feel like running away till after the holidays. Oh well! I have wrapping to do but I don't even feel like doing that anymore either.

Sorry for such a depressing entry but I just have to get it out. I'll be fine though. I will probably check in again after the holiday sometime! Hope that everyone else had a Merry Christmas though!

Another Firday night and I have plans again....

The young adults at our church are getting together tonight. They said that last time they played games and ate pizza. Just had a good time. Pete will be in bed so I think that I'm going to go by myself!

I went out last night and finished my christmas shopping. Now I just have to wrap a few things. We have Christmas with my cousins tomorrow. I will be at my grandma's early in the morning!I'm looking forward to seeing everyone again!

Ok it's that time of the year and I need some Christmas spirit. I want everyone to leave me a comment and tell me your favorite Christmas memory. Here is mine:

Mine was the Christmas of 1996. My Oma (grandma; my mom's mom) passed away the day after Thanksgiving. Ya that was terrible. Although the family always thought (and I still believe this to this day) that she knew that she wouldn't be around for Christmas. She was able to spend time with all of us and she was able to shop for everyone. She had one gift for everyone. We wrapped the gifts and gave them out. My gift was a Bugs Bunny tea pot. I still cherish that to this day. It sits on top of my fridge. I miss her but I look at that and know that she's still with me. I have a lot of childhood memories but that one always sticks with my heart. Ya it sounds sad but everytime I think of it I smile. I was really close to Oma. After she died that family fell apart little by little. That side hasn't talked to me in like 6ish years. I miss our Christmas Eve nights. Oma always has shrimp cocktail on Christmas Eve night so no matter what I ALWAYS have shrimp for Christmas Eve.

Life stinks......

So I had the day off today. I was hoping to make cookies all day but that didn't work. Ya so my sink in the kitchen backs up normally when I do laundry. Well now it keeps backing up and takes like an hour to drain. I can't afford to have a plumber out right now. So I made a few cookies then went to my dentist appt. (which lasted longer then I expected). After I got back from that I made dinner then did laundry in the bathtub. Ya it sucked! My knees are too bad but I needed clean clothes. And people wonder why I just haven't been able to get into the holiday spirit! I need to get into the holiday spirit but I'm just not sure how to.

Breaking News... Michigan now has a new football coach!

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Michigan has hired West Virginia's Rich Rodriguez as its next football coach following a search that featured two other top prospects deciding to stay put.
Rodriguez, whose No. 11 Mountaineers are preparing for their second BCS game in three seasons, will take over Michigan's program from Lloyd Carr, Michigan athletic department spokesman Bruce Madej said Sunday.
Carr announced his retirement Nov. 19 after 13 seasons.
Michigan plans to introduce Rodriguez at a news conference Monday morning, Madej said. Rodriguez, who has a 60-26 record at West Virginia, led the Mountaineers (10-2) to their fourth Big East title in five seasons.

Windy

Wow have the winds picked up. I think I'm going to Kansas soon lol! The winds are supposed to be gusting 49-50 mph today. It is also supposed to start snowing again later this morning. We are trying to figure out wheather to go to church this morning. There are 5 church around here that have already closed today! I'll check in later!

Winter sucks!!

So as you can tell it has started snowing here. Ya it wasn't supposed to start until noon, well at 10:30 am it was snowing like crazy! Of course I was caught out in it. It took us an hour and twenty minutes to get home when it normally takes us a half hour. The roads haven't been salted or plowed. The city said that they were prepared for this but take it from me THEY WEREN'T. I just went out and shoveled for the first time. It looks pretty now that I'm home though! I'll check in later!

OMG!

Ok so it is official.....my husband is a dork! Some how today he deleted everything from his laptop. He doesn't know what he's doing half the time. He calls me at work and tells me that he doesn't know what he did. So who has to tell him what to do over the phone, me! Then who has to come home and load the things like office and Norton, yep that was me again. I swear this is the second time that he has done this.


Ok so I'm watching the news and they have just updated the "Winter Storm Watch" to a "Winter Storm Warning". They are calling for ice, 3-5 inches of snow and high winds. They are saying that Sunday afternoon the winds could be 40-50 mph. I just hope that we don't loose power. I have that fear cause two years ago next Friday we lost our power for a week. No Christmas tree for Christmas cause we had to stay at my husbands grandma's house. I'll be sure to update ya all.

Just in case...

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are under a winter storm watch begining Sat. morning. They are expecting ice and snow. They are saying any where between 3 inches to 1 foot! It all depends what direction that the storm takes. I hope that we don't get the ice that they are calling for. I would much rather have snow. The last time that we had a major ice storm I was without power for a week. I will check in with you all and let you know what we actually recieved!

Today was hell......

As you can tell today was a day from hell. I was so busy that I couldn't even think straight. I even went and helped out my mailroom guys (only cause they would do it for me if I needed help). I worked ot last night and I think that it is catching up to me now. I'm so tired. I was going to go to the grocery store but I'm to tired to go. I will have to go either tomorrow or Sat. morning. We are supposed to get a lot of snow Sat. so I need food before then.

I still need to go Christmas shopping. As of right now I have nothing for no one. Ya this will be a very sad christmas cause we have no money! All our money went into my husbands car.

I want to give a shout out to Penni! Thanks for coming to my rescue and helping me with my blog!

I had this posted before but it wasn't up long so you may not have read it, but I have all of our tickets and seats for our Michigan race. This year Andi and I will be joined by Penni and Tara. I think that were all looking forward to it. Of course we have eight months to wait as we are going to the August race. Let's see only about another month and Daytona testing begins! Ya that is one step closer to the start of the season!

Just checking in

Just thought that I would check in. This weekend was a very busy andstressful weekend. Saturday we were at my husbands grandma's house then Ihelped Andi with Nita's babyshower. Then Sunday we went to church and I hadto come home and sleep cause I had to work 3rd shift yet again! Monday I wasbusy baking cookies and doing laundry. I have yet to start my christmasshopping. Then tonight I have to work overtime at one of our otherbuildings. Hey I figured I need the money so why not get it while I can.Well gotta run!
