Ok so as you can see Carl Edwards won the race! Here is how he became the winner!
Kyle Busch lead the field to the green flag. On just lap 2 David Reutimann blew a right rear tire and brushed the wall. He was able to make it to pit road though without the caution coming out! On lap 8 the first caution is brought out by Jamie McMurray spinning although he was able to keep it from hitting anything.
Most of the cars all hit pit road. On lap 12 Kyle Busch again leads the field to the green flag. On lap 20 Carl Edwards took the lead. On lap 49 Carl makes a green flag pit stop handing the lead over to Scott Riggs. On lap 51 Scott Riggs pits and hands the lead to Mark Martin. On lap 52 Mark Martin pits and hands the lead over to Tony Stewart. Kurt Busch is caught speeding on pit road and has to serve a pass through penalty. On lap 58 Tony Stewart gives up the lead to Matt Kenseth so that he can make his pit stop. On lap 60 Matt Kenseth has to pit and hands the lead to Dale Jr. On lap 61 Junior makes his pit stop and Carl Edwards then retakes the lead on lap 62.
On lap 68 the caution comes out for debris. On lap 70 pit road opens and some cars choose to pit. Kyle Busch lead the field down pit road due to the fact that Carl's pit was before the start/finish line. On lap 75 Jeff Burton led the field to the green flag. On lap 81 Kyle Busch passed jeff Burton for the lead.
On lap 108 the caution flies again. This time for an accident. Tony Stewart blew a tire and hit the wall pretty hard. That one left Tony dazed for a minute. After being check out at the infield care center he was released. He said that was one of the hardest hits for him. He said that his legs were tingly and his lower back hurt. All the leaders hit pit road. On lap 111 Carl Edwards and Robby Gordon are both serving a pass through penilty. Edwards had a tire violation and Gordon had pitted too soon.
On lap 114 Kyle Busch again leads the field to the green flag. On lap 144 Robby Gordon blew a tire and hit the wall bringing out the caution again. On lap 145 Jeff Gordon took the lead as he was leading the field down pit road. On lap 146 Matt Kenseth won the race off pit road.
On lap 161 the caution flies for the 5th time. This time because Patrick Carpentier Spins on the back stretch after being tapped by Ryan Newman. On lap 163 all the cars pit and Jeff Gordon won the race off pit road.
On lap 179 Scott Riggs spins bringing out the caution. On lap 181 everyone pits except for Dale Jr. which now makes him the leader. On lap 195 Carl Edwards passed Dale Jr. for the lead.
On lap 214 the caution comes out for debris. On lap 215 Dale Jr takes the lead on pit road. Matt Kenseth then wins the race off pit road and takes the lead.
On lap 224 Casey Mears and Brian Vickers tangle neither hitting the wall but the caution did come out. On lap 233 Dale Jarrett hit the wall to bring out the caution yet again. On lap 238 Carl Edwards passed Matt Kenseth for the lead.
On lap 256 Kurt Busch hits the wall bringing out the caution again. That was another hard hit as well. On lap 262 the race restarts and Matt Kenseth and Jeff Gordon got into each other sending Jeff Gordon into the wall hard. He hit so hard that his radiator went flying up the track. Matt Kenseth was able to keep his car from hitting anything. On lap 263 the race is red flagged for clean up. Jeff Gordon was not hurt. Although he did say that was the hardest hit he has had.
The race restarts for a green/white/checkered.
